Sometimes, when you're all set to play, you may come across problems with your game. It can be frustrating, but you can attempt the following steps to help address the issue.

Reboot / Restart

We understand it's a common question: "Have you attempted to power off and restart your system?" We also know that performing a hard reset can effectively address various common issues.

  • Click start, power, and then shut down.

Check for Software Conflicts

Close any unnecessary programs running in the background. By doing so, you can free up system resources and create a more favorable environment for your game.

Disable or temporarily uninstall any third-party software that might conflict with the game. Examples include antivirus programs, overlays, or recording software. These applications can sometimes interfere with the game's performance and stability.

Update your system's operating system and your graphic card drivers.

If it's been some time since you last updated your operating system and graphic/video drivers, it might be worth checking if you have the latest versions installed. Ensure that your system is running on the most up-to-date operating system available and your GPU/video drivers are current.

Reboot your Modem / Router

It's possible that your internet connection is the underlying cause of the issue you're experiencing. Rebooting both your modem and router could potentially help resolve the problem.

Adjusting In-Game Settings

Open the game and navigate to the settings menu.

  • Lower the graphics settings. Start with lower settings and gradually increase them to find the optimal balance between visuals and performance.
  • If necessary, reduce the screen resolution and set features like anti-aliasing or shading to low. This can lighten the load on your system.

Check your Cables

Over the course of time, cables and connections can become loose, leading to potential troubles. Take a moment to inspect all your connections and ensure they are securely and firmly seated.

Keep it cool

When using computers, they can generate heat. It's important to ensure that your system is placed in a well-ventilated area, free from any obstructions, to prevent overheating. Additionally, it's important to regularly check that your case fans and cooling systems are functioning effectively.
